Choosing Wisely® is a national campaign that promotes healthcare quality by encouraging important conversations between doctors and patients. Specifically, by making available lists of tests and procedures that doctors and patients should question, the campaign helps patients choose health care that is:

• Supported by evidence
• Efficient
• Free from harm
• Truly necessary
